Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal treatments work best on dark hair and untanned skin. Laser light targets the pigment in the hair bulb, causing long-lasting hair reduction. For best results, we recommend 3-6 treatments at 6 week intervals and then maintenance visits every 6 months.
Hair removal services provide permanent hair reduction for unwanted hair on many areas of the body, including the:
- Face
- Legs
- Back
- Arms
- Bikini area
Laser hair removal treatments are available in all three Cosmetic Center locations: Johnson City, Kingsport and Bristol.
Waxing
Each of our Cosmetic Centers in Bristol, Johnson City, and Kingsport offers a full line of waxing services for women and men. It is a semi-permanent form of hair removal that removes hair from the root. Hair growth that comes in after waxing is generally thinner and lighter in color. The hair in waxed areas will not grow back from two to eight weeks, with longer lasting results after each treatment.
Electrolysis
Electrolysis is a safe and permanent method of hair removal. A small probe is inserted into the hair follicle and then an electrical current is passed down the probe to destroy the hair so that another will not grow back. This procedure is ideal for people with light or white, fine hair that does not respond well to other hair removal procedures. Electrolysis is available at all three of our Cosmetic Center locations: Johnson City, Kingsport and Bristol.
Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is an ideal and safe treatment for women with fine, vellus (peach fuzz) facial hair. The development of this type of hair can make the application of make-up or products difficult and occurs for many women as they experience hormonal changes. Removing this hair with laser or IPL treatments is usually not an option because the hair can be white or blonde and the laser cannot treat it for effective hair removal. This non-invasive procedure is also an effective exfoliation method, giving the skin a smooth texture and improving skin tone. Dermaplaning is offered at all 3 Cosmetic Center locations.
